The Grounding Touch is how Maria describes her practice. Her main focus is to create a space for a grounding experience while listening and paying attention to the individual needs of each client.
Maria was born and raised in Venezuela. She has always been interested in exploring subjects related to the body, health, energy and how they all relate to each other. Her intellectual, emotional and spiritual quest about the benefits of healthy eating, living and bodywork has been the driving passion of her life.
Maria has been a bodywork practitioner since 2003. She graduated from one of the best Holistic schools of Massage in Florida, the Educating Hands School of Massage. She is currently National Certified and holds massage licenses in both the state of Florida and the state of Hawaii.
Very conscious about the body’s inherent need for balance and harmony, she devotes her talent and energy towards her client’s well being.
Although she has been trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hydrotherapy, Hot Stone, Aromatherapy and Lomi Lomi massage modalities, her style incorporates all of those and is very versatile and instinctive. She always adapts and listens to her clients needs to ensure the right pressure is used and the right amount of time is given to the areas that need the most attention. She practices mindfulness and is fully present with her client, her client’s body, her client’s energy and her client’s needs when giving bodywork.
Maria’s office is located in the beautiful neighborhood of Puna Palisades on the Big Island Hawaii. She sees clients at her office but she also travel to your location for a small extra fee.
